The Water Crisis in El Salvador
The struggle for clean water, protection from transnational mining companies, and agricultural practices that prioritize healthy people over healthy profits are just a few examples of struggles that are just as real in the United States as they are in El Salvador and other places throughout the world.

The Flint Water Crisis
Flint History
In 2014, the water source for Flint, MI was diverted from the Detroit River and Lake Huron to the Flint River, in response to the city's state of financial emergency. Despite multiple boiling advisories following this shift, the city rejected a proposal to switch back to Lake Huron water. Residents brought water samples to a community meeting, and aquatic testing repeatedly exposed unhealthy levels of lead in local samples. The water in Flint remained unsuitable for consumption for several years, prior to resolving contamination sources.
